Every email step in the automation canvas has a Send test button, next to Use a saved email.
Press it, enter the address to send to, and the email is sent using the same path a real send uses, so what arrives is exactly what a subscriber would get, including the unsubscribe footer.
Two things worth knowing:
- Nothing is saved. Testing an email you are still writing never changes the live automation, and never creates a draft broadcast.
- Nobody on your list is emailed. Only the address you typed receives it.
Merge codes are filled in with your own details so you can see how the email actually reads.
If you have not given the step a subject line or written any content yet, you are told rather than being sent an empty email.
