What you can do on the Members tab:
- Add one: attach an existing WordPress user with a type ahead search, or create a new one by email, who then gets a password setup email
- Search and filter by email, name, level or status
- Cancel, which pauses access but keeps the history
- Reactivate, which restores it
- Remove, which deletes the membership row and never the user account
- Set an expiry date per member, or let the level's duration handle it
A daily task marks lapsed memberships expired, so you never have to sweep for them.
Exporting:
Export everybody to CSV any time from the Import / Export tab, for a backup or to push your list into an autoresponder. The CSV is also how you rescue anything that went wrong elsewhere.
Importing from CSV:
The same tab imports members from a CSV, in batches with a progress bar, and can resume if the import is interrupted.
Members are ordinary WordPress users:
Every member is a normal WordPress user, usually a subscriber. Nobody is locked into this plugin. Deactivating it leaves every account intact, and deleting it keeps your levels, members and protection unless you explicitly tick the box that says otherwise.
